Education Edge

 

Education Edge is Tennessee's version of a federal School to Work grant. Tennessee's vision is to integrate School to Work initiatives with the existing educational system to provide an "Education Edge" for its students.

The strength of the program comes from bringing the whole community to the table to enhance the efforts of educating youth. With these partnerships we are able to provide better career awareness at the elementary grades, career exploration at the middle school grades, and on-site workbased learning activities at the high school level.

Education Edge activities include guest speakers, career fairs, job shadowing, internships, cooperative education, apprenticeships, and teacher externships.
