Hillcrest Elementary

The first grade teachers at Hillcrest include Angela Hartman, Leah Kiersey, Robin Jagels, Kathy Long, and Gail Yates.

Mrs. Angela Hartman has been teaching for 11 years with 7 of those at Hillcrest. She enjoys seeing students having fun learning new and exciting things. When not teaching, Mrs. Hartman spends time with her husband, Alan, and their three boys - Chris, Nick, and Eric. Her hobbies include watching flag football, baseball, and anything else her boys do. Leah Kiersey enjoys teaching and working with children immensely. She strives to provide a loving environment where learning is the ultimate goal. She has been teaching for 17 years - 16 of those at Hillcrest. She also likes to read, walk, jog, and listen to music. Mrs. Kathy Long has taught 2 years at Hillcrest of her 8 year teaching career. "I like being with the students themselves and sharing the learning process with them." Gail Yates is beginning her teaching career at Hillcrest. "I love seeing children's feelings of accomplishment when they learn something new."
