Morristown-Hamblen High School East

 

 

The Freshman Academy was a new addition to East High in the 2004-2005 school year. At that time freshman class grades were dropping, attendance was dropping and office referrals were increasing. The Freshman Academy has been a good idea. Freshman grades are higher, freshman attendance is better, and freshman office referrals have decreased. Many school systems are going to middle schools with grades seven though nine. Having a Freshman Academy has enabled East High to offer more support to the freshman class.
