Gary Chesney

Gary Chesney, who has earned the designation of Tennessee School Boards Association's Level V Master School Boardsman, has served as board chair, and chair of several committees including policy, curriculum, technology and transportation. He is a former member of the building committee.

Chesney's goals for the school system are to improve reading, math and science scores; to have the board function as a unified and focused body as opposed to a politically factioned group; and to maximize facilities for student benefit and interests (for example, learning sites, athletics, fine arts.)
