Her goals
for the school system include providing a safe environment
for students and staff, providing a quality education for all
students while at the same time raising test scores, and completing
the building program.
She brings
to the board an expertise in health-related issues and a common-sense
and fair approach to decision making. She is a dedicated, hard-working
individual who cares about others, regardless of their social
or economic background.
"I am a child
advocate, not a politician. I welcome input from parents and
staff," she said.
Haun applauds
the school system faculty and staff who are dedicated to ensuring
all children receive a quality education, regardless of their
social or economic background. Her hope is that all children
who enter kindergarten will graduate from high school. She
enjoys visiting the schools and attending events.
She and her
husband Philip, have a son, P.J., a sophomore at East High.
She enjoys spending time with her family on their Whitesburg
farm. They have a basset hound named, "Wally."
