Traffic flow and Pick-up

All car riders must be dropped off and picked up in front of the building.  There will be no exceptions to this policy unless it is stated in a student's IEP.  I know this is a change from past years.  We have been very liberal in the past as to how students entered and exited the building.  This was allowed because of the overcrowding as well as the mobile units we had in place.  The situation has changed, and we now can improve school safety and security by keeping all doors locked except the main front entrance.

Preschool parents will be walking their children in the side door-closest to kindergarten and signing them in each morning.  They will also be signing their children out in the afternoon at the same entrance/exit.

Please comply with this request and do not ask for an exception.  Your help and cooperation will ensure this being a smooth, orderly process.

The front doors will open at 7:10 a.m.

Please do not park at the Post Office and walk to the building to pick up your child.

ALL children picked up early MUST be signed out in the office.

Intermediate School
Traffic Flow-Pickup and Delivery


All cars must enter and exit in front of the building.
All students, except bus riders, must enter and exit through the main front entrance doors.  All other doors will be locked for students and staff safety and security.

The front doors will open at 7:10 a.m.

Cars will enter on the east end (cemetery side) of the building and drive through the front, around the loop to pick up your child/children, and exit on the west end (National Guard Armory side) of the building.

Please do not ask for exceptions or ask your child/children to run to meet you.  For your child's safety, all children must load into their car at the front lobby doors at the loop.

ONLY buses are allowed in the back of the building.

Please do not pick your child up before the first bell unless it is very important. We totally understand appointments and special occasions, etc. Please do not have us call your child just because you do not want to wait in line.

Please make every effort to pick up your child before the last bus leaves which is approximately 3:45. If it is going to be later than this, then please check on signing up for the Extended School Program (ESP).

HELP OUR SCHOOL EARN $$$$$$
Our school participates in many programs to earn extra cash. Please help us by collecting the appropriate items and periodically turning these items into your child’s teacher throughout the school year. Please collect the following items:  Box Tops for Education, Labels for Education, Tyson Project A+, Apples for the Students, and Tools for Schools. Also, please link your Ingles Advantage Card to CODE 11620 to support Russellville. This must be done each school year. More detailed information for each program is in the front lobby area of each school building, or please call the school for more information. Volunteers are desperately needed to assist in both buildings.  If you can help, please call the school.
