Each year the fourth grade makes a trip to Historical Rocky Mount in Piney Flats, Tennessee. Students take a Living History tour of the home of William Cobb an early settler in East Tennessee. This year students also participated in activities that youngsters their age would have experienced in the 1790s. These activities included fireplace cooking, stenciling, colonial games, and natural dyeing. We have included some photos of the site and of our class having lots of fun. The first two pictures are postcards we purchased at Rocky Mount.
