Union Heights Elementary School

 PTO

The Union Heights PTO meets on the first Tuesday night of each month. They try to keep parents informed about events happening in the school.

This group organizes the fundraising projects. These include the Turkey Dinner, King and Queen, Tornado Twister, and the PTO Membership Drive.

The PTO plans Pride Days to work on the upkeep and improvement of the campus. Teacher Appreciation Dinners are planned and hosted by members of the PTO. They participate in the assessment of school needs, purchasing, and repair of playground equipment.

This organization has donated money to two students at Union Heights with cancer.

They also sponsor contests to motivate children at Union Heights to read.

The money raised helps to purchase VCRs, TVs, computer software, and other items needed by the students and teachers.

The PTO also gives money to a scholarship for a senior at Morristown East and West High Schools. This award is established by the PTA and PTO organizations in the Hamblen County School System. The Union Heights PTO also awards a plaque to the girl and boy basketball player and the cheerleader with the highest scholastic average each year.
