and Breakfast Information
Hamblen County schools serve approximately
7000 lunches and 2300 breakfasts each school day.
Menus feature a variety of foods. Menus are available
at each school. Many cafeterias feature selfserve lines.
The Hamblen County School System belongs to the
Northeast Tennessee Food Buying Cooperative (NETCO) which allows
for purchasing over 300 food and nonfood items at competitive prices.
Commodity foods provided by USDA such as chicken, beef, tomato
products, canned fruits and vegetables, among others, are also
served.
