Nashville Convention---November 23-26

Final deposit for those going to the Beta Convention is October 31st.
There will be a parents meeting on November 17th at 6:00 p.m. in the library to discuss the upcoming trip.
The Daily Bread Food Drive ended today. Thanks to all who participated. Listen to the announcements for the grand total of cans collected.
For our next service project, we will be collecting toys for “Toys for Tots”. In order to attend the November meeting, Beta students are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy. These toys will be sent to Central Services to be distributed to those families in need. In December, we will be volunteering at “Santa’s Workshop” to help bag the toys. More information will be given at the November meeting.
The spring trip to Washington, D.C. is May 6-9. The school board has officially approved the trip. We are presently waiting on bids. We will give information about the cost of the trip when it becomes available.

If there are any Beta students interested in working with persons with disabilities, see Mrs. Trent. A few of the activities would include: basketball, volleyball, and fundraisers.
Keeping up your grade point average and attendance at Beta meetings is very important. Once you are out of Beta Club, you cannot join back during middle school.
Next Beta Club meeting: November 20th during afternoon related arts.
