At Lincoln Heights Elementary, we use a skill theme approach to teach athletic concepts. It is my goal to build lifetime appreciation for athletics. Students need more physical activity than a few 1/2 hour PE classes weekly. Therefore, I teach the students the fundamentals of every sport and activity available. This should build the foundation to allow students to succeed on an athletic team of their choice.

The Pre-K through second grade focus on movement themes through our classes. Learning and discovering different ways to move help the body develop as the children have fun building an appreciation for fitness.  The children at our school learn movement as they interact with others and learn about their bodies’ strengths and abilities.
