NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT: Any student NEW to Hamblen County Schools for the 2025-2026 school year. New Student enrollment will open June 1, 2025. NEW students do not need a Parent Portal account to enroll. Please scroll down to find the NEW STUDENT ENROLLMENT link.

Items needed for school registration:

*2 Proofs of residence

*Record of Birth

*Names and phone numbers of at least 3 additional local adults that have permission to pick your child up from school in the event of an emergency

*Immunization Record

*Proof of Guardianship

*Current Medications

*Date first enrolled in a United States school

Two (2) proofs of residence. The school will require that you present the documents at the school. You will be required to provide this information at the beginning of the 2025-2026 School Year, not now

In order to verify residency within the attendance zone of the requested school, two current documents as listed below and dated with the past 30 days, must be provided showing the parent/guardian’s name and address. Past due bills or Post Office box numbers are not acceptable for verification of residence.

Property Tax receipt– Within last year

Homeowners Insurance Policy - Within last year
Mortgage Statement – Within last 30 Days

*Apartment or House Lease with Parent Guardian Name and Current Address on the document

Apartment or house rent receipt – Within last 30 days
Apartment or house lease renters’ insurance policy – Within last year
Housing agreement- Written agreement between a tenant and landlord that gives the tenant the right to occupy the property in exchange for paying a pre-determined rental amount to the landlord for an agreed-upon amount of time. Dated and signed by the landlord and tenant.

*Utility Bills or Utility Deposit Receipts

Water, Gas, Telephone, Electric, Cable – Within last 30 Days

*Latest Filing of Income Tax Records from IRS to the Parent/Guardian

Copy of check/correspondence from IRS

Security Office, Department of Human Resources

(DHR), Food Stamp Office or Temporary Assistance

to Needy Families (TANF) within last 30 Days

*Current Bank Records

Checking/Savings/Loan Statement

Investment Certificate within last 30 Days

*Employment Records

Current Company Check within last 30 Days OR Verification from Employer ( Dated and signed by the employer of the company on company letterhead.)

If you can not provide items from above please download the Proof of Residency Affidavit below. The form is for Families Residing in a Residence without Holding Title to Residence Property or Without a Written Lease. Examples would be:

1. I live at this residence with the property owner and am unable to provide items from the accepted forms of proof of residency that contain the physical address as this residency address.

2. I live at this residence with another family (doubled-up) that has a lease/rental agreement with the property owner and am unable to provide items from the accepted forms of proof of residency that contain the physical address as this residency address.
