Mr. Johnny Denton, elected to his seat last September, and is board member of Districts 1 and 2.  This is Johnny Denton's first time to serve on the Hamblen County School Board. 

He also is a member of Morristown Hamblen Lions Club and Hamblen County Car Club. He serves on the Board of Directors for Encore. 

Johnny Denton serves on the Transportation Services Committee and the Sick Leave Bank.  

Johnny Denton owns and operates a handful of businesses in Hamblen County. One of these  being Gutters & More. 

He was a part of the Hamblen County School System even before serving on the school board, graduating from Morristown-Hamblen West High School in 1994. 

He and his wife Deandrea Denton have two children Kaylyn, and Kade.  Mr. Denton has an older daughter Madisen Everhart.
