Title I C
 Migrant Education Program
The Hamblen County Schools Migrant Education Program is designed to meet the needs of migrant students and families in Hamblen County. Migrant families are those families who moved within the last three years for the purpose of obtaining employment in agriculture or fishing. Frequent moves place migrant students at high-risk for failure and migrant education programs are designed to remove barriers to school enrollment, attendance, and achievement of migrant children.
Antonia Lopez serves as Hamblen County's ELL/Second Language Parent Liaison & Migrant coordinator.  She has office hours at the HCBOE office building Monday through Friday each week. Antonia can be reached by phone at 586-7700 ext. 19 or by email at Ms. Lopez is available to assist migrant families and the school personnel who work with migrant students and families.
