Administrative Philosophy.
I believe in Data-driven decision making.
I believe communication is the key to a good administrator.
By communicating and sharing with your team members, you create an environment to empower others as you make decisions that affect your school division. Most team members accept your decisions, for they respect your position. Some team members will agree wholeheartedly, you need to empower these individuals. A few team members might disagree or not understand your decisions and you owe it to them, and yourself, to attempt to rationalize your thought process in making said decision. They may still disagree, but you have attempted to help them understand and hopefully they will respect the effort.
I believe in the importance of collaboration and consensus building.
Decisions are much stronger when multiple stakeholders have the opportunity to contribute. I have had tremendous success with potentially Controversial topics such as the new teacher evaluation process, random drug testing of student athletes and the development of a new Comprehensive plan.
