Homebound

The purpose of homebound placement is to provide academic instruction for students who will be unable to attend school for more than 2 weeks as ordered by a doctor for approved medical conditions or procedures.  Both the parent and an M.D. must complete portions of the homebound application packet.  Once approved, the homebound coordinator meets with parents, school principal, and teachers to assign a homebound teacher and schedule instructional services. The homebound teacher coordinates assignments with the classroom teachers and meets with the student for a total of 3 hours of instruction each week.

Please contact the Special Services Department at 210 East Morris Blvd. (423-581-3067) to apply for homebound services.
