Chrome / Google Classroom  - Unable to log in because another Google Account already logged in

  1. On your computer, open Chrome.
  2. At the top right, click More More and then New Incognito Window.
  3. A new window appears. In the top corner, check for the Incognito icon Incognito.

How do I connect to the WiFi in my school's parking lot? (Non- District Owned Devices) District Owned Devices will connect automatically.

Answer:  You must be a currently enrolled student with Hamblen County Schools.

This wireless network will be available in most public parking areas at all schools.

Step 1. Join SSID “HCDOENET-CAMPUS-GUEST” by clicking the wireless network icon located in the lower right corner of most devices

Click the wireless network labeled “HCDOENET-CAMPUS-GUEST”

Your browser should automatically start and open the following page

If this does not occur please restart your device

Step 2. Type your school issued username and password into the appropriate fields

Step 3. You must click box beside the terms and conditions

Step 4. Click the sign in button and then you will be redirected to the HCDOE homepage

Wireless Network Troubleshooting

Answer: 

1. Make sure airplane mode is not activated. If you see the following icon airplane mode is on

2. If airplane mode is on click the plane icon and the following screen will pop up.

3. Click the blue airplane mode button, this should turn airplane mode off(grey) and the wi-fi button should then turn blue.

 

4. If you see a globe icon instead of an airplane then airplane mode is off and you are ready to join to your wireless network

5. Click the globe icon, you should now see a list of available networks. If you do not see any networks make sure airplane mode is off (button will be grey) and wi-fi is turned on (button will be blue). If wi-fi is turned off (grey) click the wi-fi button and it should turn blue

6. Click the name of the desired wi-fi network (HCDOENET-STUDENTMOBILE if you have a Hamblen County Schools' owned hotspot) and enter the password. You may be asked the following question if this is the first time the laptop has joined this particular network.

7. If this is a home network click yes, if this is a public network such as a  hotel, restaurant, other business,  then click no. You should now be on the internet.

8. If you are still having issues click the wi-fi or globe icon.

9. Right click the network you joined and click forget, then try to join desired network again.
